Phase II Road Improvement Project to Begin, May 4, 2020 by Peter J. Kampa, General Manager
We are excited to announce that on March 17, 2020, your CSD Board of Directors awarded a contract to Tom Mayo Construction for the Phase II road improvements in Copper Valley. What this means is that nearly every road in the community other than those repaved in 2018 (Saddle Creek Drive and portions of Oak Creek Drive) will be restored to great condition by an asphalt overlay or surface sealcoat, and new striping installed. More information will be posted here as the project begins, and you can expect timely communications from community resident Dave Ehlers as well.
You will start to see pavement markings throughout the community beginning on May 11, 2020, with concrete saws and jackhammering in certain locations beginning on or about May 14, 2020. The work will kick off with major repairs being completed on a number of the drainage inlets, which is where the stormwater runoff from the roads is collected into a system of culverts. Below is a photo and approximate location of each of the inlets to be repaired between May 14 and May 30, 2020.
